Accessibility Statement
Last updated: May 11, 2026
Commitment
Steven C. Fraser, P.A. is committed to making dcdebtrelief.com usable by the widest possible audience, including users of assistive technology. We believe everyone deserves equal access to information about their legal rights and options for debt relief.
Goal
Our goal is to work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Status — honest disclosure. A May 2026 third-party review identified accessibility gaps on this site that we are actively remediating. We do not currently claim full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance. Active items in progress include: programmatic form-field labels on the upload portal, ARIA on the FAQ accordions and the desktop dropdown navigation, keyboard support for the dropdown menu, color-contrast adjustments for gold-on-white text combinations, consistent visible focus indicators, and consistent skip-link availability across all interior page templates.
This page will be updated as remediation progresses. The next review is scheduled for August 2026.
Features Already in Place
The following accessibility features are in production today:
- Semantic HTML structure using landmarks (
nav, main, footer) for screen reader navigation - Alt text on informational images
- Programmatic
<label for>associations on the bankruptcy-eligibility calculator inputs - Skip-link on the homepage to bypass repeated navigation
aria-expandedandaria-controlson the mobile navigation toggle- Plain-language explanations of legal concepts wherever possible
- Descriptive link text rather than generic phrases like “click here”
Known Limitations — Third Parties
This site integrates with third-party services that are not under our direct control. We cannot guarantee WCAG 2.1 AA conformance for content rendered by these platforms:
- Calendly — scheduling widget
- Confido Legal — payment processing portal
- SignNow — electronic signature forms
- TitanFile — document upload portal
If you encounter an accessibility barrier with any of these services, please contact us and we will provide an alternative method — such as scheduling by phone, accepting payment by another channel, or receiving documents through an accessible channel.
